山間孩子的遊戲劇場與精神場所
本案為2019年第二屆學美美學計畫(台灣創意研究院)之競圖案,活動主旨在重新思考台灣校園空間的美學教育。
基地位置位於雲林古坑的半山腰上,屬於公辦的華德福系列學校,從幼稚園到高中,所有的教室都集中在一塊小小的校區上。但也因此校園師生關係密切,同時與社區鄰里常有互動,為山間居民的精神場所。
司令台在這樣崇尚自然學習的校園當中顯得個外突兀,軍事化教育衍生出來的空間,如何在這一次的改造中被賦予新意義是我們的課題。
勘察基地時不時看到天空中的大冠鷲,雲林山區的野生動物之一,自由翱翔於山谷當中。我們決定以這為學校意象,希望孩子們在大冠鷲的羽翼下健康快樂的成長。同時結合操場中的遊具設備,串聯成一個帶狀遊戲區,騎著單輪車爬上司令台後,緊接著又是一座攀岩牆壁。把簾子圍起來後,是校長的迎賓接待空間,也可以是一個多功能教學使用空間。伸展開來的兩翼翅膀又為腹地不多的空間創造更多的使用空間。
完工後的司令台已是全然不同的校園建物,我們寧願以類似馬戲團式的戲台取代權威時代軍事式的司令台。
改造之後那一年學校辦了一場晚間的營火晚會,有營火,有星空,有對大自然與人的愛。
This project was part of the 2nd Aesthetic Education Plan Competition in 2019, organized by the Taiwan Creative Content Agency. The initiative aimed to reimagine the aesthetics of campus spaces in Taiwan.
The site is located halfway up a mountain in Gukeng, Yunlin, at a public Waldorf-affiliated school that accommodates students from kindergarten through high school. All classrooms are concentrated within a compact campus area, fostering close relationships among teachers and students, as well as frequent interactions with the surrounding community. The school serves as a spiritual hub for local mountain residents.
In this nature-focused educational setting, the existing military-style podium stood out as particularly out of place. The challenge of this renovation was to reinterpret this relic of authoritarian, militarized education and give it new meaning.
During site visits, we often saw crested serpent eagles soaring overhead—one of the many wild animals native to Yunlin’s mountain areas. We decided to take this majestic bird as a symbol for the school, envisioning children growing up happily and healthily under its protective wings. We integrated playground elements into the design of the athletic field, creating a continuous activity zone: students could ride a unicycle up onto the transformed podium, followed by a climbing wall. When the curtains are drawn, the structure becomes a reception space for the principal or a flexible, multi-use teaching area. The extended wings of the eagle-inspired form also provided additional usable space in the otherwise limited site.
The renovated podium became an entirely new architectural presence on campus—more like a circus tent than a symbol of military authority. That same year, the school held a nighttime bonfire gathering on site, under the stars, with flames, laughter, and a shared love for nature and community.
設計構想說明|山谷間的遊戲羽翼
本案改造位於操場端點、視覺焦點上的既有司令台。設計構想以「大冠鷲展翅」作為意象,將原本權威象徵的硬體改造為一座可遊戲、可學習、可表演的開放性多功能平台。
從空拍圖中可見,司令台形體向左右延展,形成如羽翼般的雙側遮蔭結構,提供山區學童遮陽避雨的活動空間。結合前方草地與自然起伏地形,配置了單輪車坡道、攀岩牆與滑梯,構成串聯式的「帶狀遊戲場」。孩子們可以從場地一側騎行、攀爬,再滑下,進行一場自由穿梭的身體探索。
手繪圖呈現整體動線與情境設計:山坡、樹林與田地包圍下的場域中,司令台不再是命令的出口,而是如同馬戲團帳棚般歡迎的舞台。簾幕拉起時,可轉換為教學、接待或社區活動場地,使其日夜皆可使用。
此外,設計中也隱喻「孵化」的概念,中央高起平台如鳥巢,兩翼則為羽翼延展,象徵孩子在這片山谷中被自然與教育共同呵護、自由成長。

改造前的司令台為封閉制式的磁磚建築,承襲過往軍事教育語彙,缺乏與師生互動的彈性空間。改造後轉化為展翼造型的開放式平台,結合攀岩牆與遊具設施,不僅釋放空間,更重塑其為孩子可遊戲、學習、交流的自由舞台。
